I own the product customers actually touch.
I am a software engineer based in Lagos, Nigeria. For seven years I have been the person teams across the world hand the hard parts to.
I have been the only React Native engineer on a cryptoasset product that passed $80K in revenue, shipped it to both stores, and kept it through review after review. I have led a three-person team through platform and infrastructure decisions, mentored junior developers until they were shipping on their own, and sat on the hiring side of the technical interview. The part I am proudest of is not the code — it is being clear with designers, backend and whoever owns the revenue number, and being easy to work with when the deadline is real.
Most of my work has been earning the right to change something. Gatsby to Next, Pages Router to App Router, ThemeUI to Tailwind, a Shopify theme migration that carried subscriptions with it — each one because the old thing was costing the business something I could point at. I do not rebuild for taste.
The interesting problems are rarely the visual ones. They are the ones where a pricing rule, a URL parameter and a browser quirk all have an opinion about the same checkout. I have liked those for seven years, and that is the part I would want read into the CV — still here, still motivated by the work, still happiest the day something ships.
