Waer sells fragrance the way a wardrobe works. Instead of committing to one bottle, customers pick a case they keep and rotate 10ml scents through it — fourteen fine fragrances, swapped whenever the mood or the season does. I own the storefront and the app surfaces it renders.
It runs on Shopify, with the configuration and membership logic built into the theme in Liquid and TypeScript, and React where a surface needs real state.
Contributions
- Built the wardrobe builder and configurator — case selection, scent slots, size options and the selling-plan logic behind each purchase option.
- Shipped the Waer+ membership pricing model across the theme: member pricing, "from" price logic and saving display on product, list and cart surfaces.
- Built the scent recommendation quiz end to end, from the step flow through results and scent swapping to the dashboard recommendations it feeds.
- Maintain the edits — the ready-made wardrobes — as bundles that price and add to cart as one unit while staying individually swappable.
